Frequently asked questions
Getting started
How do I subscribe to TrialSage?
Subscribe through Microsoft Azure Marketplace — search for "TrialSage." Your organization's Azure administrator can subscribe on your organization's behalf. Choose the Free plan to explore a demo environment with sample data, or Paid to unlock full use.
What happens after I subscribe?
You'll be redirected to the TrialSage activation page. Click Activate, sign in with your organization's Microsoft work account, and consent to the TrialSage application for your organization (an admin needs to approve this once — see below). Your dedicated environment is then provisioned automatically.
Do I need a separate TrialSage username and password?
No. TrialSage uses your organization's existing Microsoft sign-in (Microsoft Entra ID) — there's no separate password to create or remember.
Access and roles
Who can access TrialSage in my organization?
Your organization's administrator controls this. After activation, an admin assigns the Explorer role (ask questions, view answers and charts) or Admin role (everything Explorer can do, plus manage who else in the organization has access) to specific people or groups — directly in your organization's own Microsoft Entra admin center, the same place you manage access to other Microsoft business apps.
I'm getting a sign-in error / access denied — what should I do?
This almost always means one of two things:
- Your organization's admin hasn't assigned you the
ExplorerorAdminrole yet — ask your admin to check the TrialSage application's role assignments in your Entra admin center. - Admin consent hasn't been completed for your organization yet — the first person from your organization to sign in needs to be (or have) an admin who can approve the consent prompt.
If neither applies, contact support@trialsage.ai with your organization name and the exact error message.
Plans and billing
What's the difference between Free and Paid?
The Free plan gives you a fully working environment pre-loaded with realistic, fictitious clinical trial data — perfect for exploring every feature risk-free before committing. The Paid plan unlocks the same environment for use with your own data, with your organization, users, and role assignments carried over automatically — no re-setup required.
How do I upgrade from Free to Paid?
Change your plan directly in Azure Marketplace (via the Azure portal, under your subscription). Your organization and user access carry over automatically — you don't need to re-activate or re-invite anyone.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel or unsubscribe directly through Azure Marketplace / the Azure portal, the same place you manage your other Azure subscriptions.
Billing questions?
Billing is handled entirely by Microsoft through Azure Marketplace. For invoice or payment questions, see your Azure billing/cost management portal. For questions about what a plan includes, contact support@trialsage.ai.
